Didier Acouetey is the President and Founder since 1996 of the AfricSearch Group, first human resources consulting firm based in France, specializing in Africa, with branches in Abidjan, Dakar, Douala, Johannesburg, Lome and others African capitals.
Before founding the AfricSearch Group, Didier Acouetey had worked in the advertising and packaging industry as Strategic, Sales and Marketing Director. From 1994 to 1997 he showed an early interest in Africa’s development and political issues, as President of “Renaissance Africaine”, an international association involved in promoting a new development strategy for the African continent.
When establishing AfricSearch, Didier Acouetey was one of the first in Europe to participate actively in reversing the African “brain drain”.
As business advisor to several Managing Directors of Africa’s major companies and institutions, Didier Acouetey has built an extensive network of contacts in the African business and political community.
In 2008, he has been considered as one the 50 most active Africans in the world for those last 50 years by the magazine “Africa International”.
Didier Acouetey has also received different others awards from African Institutions and Universities and is listed since 2006 in the French Who’s Who publication.
He has been regularly featured on television and radio and in numerous magazines, newspapers and particularly on “Radio France International” (well known international radio in francophone African countries) on which he provides on air analysis for radio program on education and skills in Africa.
He is also the Vice-President of “Africa Agenda & Action Forum”, the new leadership organisation for Africa, gathering the African new generation decision makers, with the goal of making Africa, a world economic power.
He has created in November 2010 the first Africa South East Asia Chamber of Commerce in Singapore whose objective is to promote business partnerships and best practices between African and South East Asian private sectors.
Mr. Acouetey is a graduate from the Arts et Métiers school in Paris, and holds a Bachelor degree and a MBA from “ESCP EAP”, one of the top French business schools.
