Dubaï: 9ème Edition de The Africa Road Builders – Trophée Babacar NDIAYE
L’Afrique se rencontre à Dubaï
Du 17 au 21 avril 2024, les acteurs de la route et des transports en Afrique se rencontrent à
Dubaï dans le cadre de la Conférence Inaugurale 2024 de The Africa Road Builders –
Trophée Babacar NDIAYE. C’est un événement majeur qui est à sa 9 e édition. Il vise à
promouvoir des routes et des transports développés en Afrique.
Le choix de Dubaï « est une reconnaissance des réalisations extraordinaires faites par les
Emirats Arabes Unis en la matière, pouvant servir de bon exemple », expliquent les
organisateurs. Aussi, les Emirats Arabes Unis participent au Fonds Africain de
Développement du Groupe de la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD).
La BAD est le grand partenaire officiel de cet événement qui a démarré en 2016. Plusieurs
autres institutions travaillant pour le continent africain sont aussi attendues pour y participer.
Il y a notamment la Banque Arabe pour le Développement Economique de l’Afrique
(BADEA) dont le siège est en Arabie Saoudite et la Banque Africaine d’Import-Export
(AFREXIMBANK) dont le siège est en Egypte.
Après Dubaï, The Africa Road Builders – Trophée Babacar NDIAYE se déplacera à Nairobi
(Kenya) pour sa Conférence Finale, en marge des Assemblées Annuelles de la BAD, où sera
remis le prestigieux Trophée Babacar NDIAYE qui récompense chaque année un Chef d’Etat
africain.
