Les planificateurs d’une trentaine de pays africains sont réunis à Kigali durant deux jours pour s’entraîner à intégrer dans leurs activités de planification l’agenda 2013 de la Vision de l’Union Africaine(UA), selon un responsable de UNECA à Addis-Abeba.
« L’agenda 2063 de l’UA inspire les Africains à s’approprier leur propre avenir, et à transformer leurs économies pour atteindre les objectifs principaux de cette vision », a indiqué Sylvain H Boko, Conseiller principal Régional des Affaires économiques au sein de la Commission Economique pour l’Afrique (UNECA), Département du développement des Capacités.
Il a rappelé que ces objectifs principaux sont axés sur l’élimination de la faim et la réduction de la pauvreté, la cessation des conflits pour construire un continent de paix, un développement centré sur l’individu et qui intègre toutes les couches de la population, notamment les femmes, les jeunes, les personnes vulnérables.
Mais l’on vise aussi un développement qui conserve l’environnement dans une Afrique qui communique grâce aux infrastructures en place et qui se sera muée en une Confédération des Etats Africains(CAS).
Sylvain Boko a souligné que la communication autour de l’agenda 2063 a déjà commencé. « Et la réunion de Kigali est une étape pour que les techniciens planificateurs des pays membres de l’UA s’en inspirent », a-t-il poursuivi.
Il a ajouté que la rencontre permettra de créer un mécanisme de coordination continentale, sous-régionale et nationale des activités de l’agenda 2063.
« Il faut une consultation très large au niveau de toutes le couches des populations. Et le rôle de la société civile s’avère cruciale pour la réussite de cette décision de coordination », a-t-il dit
Il est utile de rappeler que cette rencontre de Kigali est organisée par l’UA en partenariat avec UNECA
