Bank of Africa du Mali et 2 autres banques burkinabées vont rejoindre la bourse des valeurs mobilières (BRVM) de l’Afrique de l’Ouest en 2015 a déclaré, le 3 février, le directeur général de la BRVM, Edoh Kossi Amenounve. Une banque togolaise et 2 autres non citées par le directeur figurent parmi les institutions financières qui rejoindrons la cote.
Le directeur général de la BRVM a, d’autre part, indiqué que le volume des transactions réalisées sur la place a atteint 227 milliards de francs CFA (396 millions de dollars) en 2014 contre 193,50 milliards de francs CFA en 2013, soit une augmentation de 17% en glissement annuel. Ce bond s’explique essentiellement par l’intérêt croissant qu’affichent les investisseurs originaires d’Europe, d’Asie et des Amériques pour le marché boursier sous-régional.
«Nous avons constaté un intérêt croissant pour notre marché auprès d’investisseurs venant d’Europe, des Amériques et d’Asie. 8% des investisseurs actifs sur la BRVM sont américains. Nous prospectons aussi les fonds asiatiques et sud-africains», a souligné M. Amenounve, indiquant que 44% des investisseurs proviennent aujourd’hui de l’espace UEMOA.
