La Fédération marocaine du personnel des centres d’appel et des métiers de l’offshoring a lancé une alerte sur les conditions de travail du personnel des services client externalisés au Maroc et en Tunisie en cette période de crise sanitaire causée par la pandémie du Covid-19. Bien que l’externalisation du travail des centres d’appel par les multinationales offre un énorme potentiel d’emploi, l’industrie a été critiquée pour ses conditions de travail médiocres et abusives, mises à nu dans le contexte de la pandémie.
La fédération met en cause les longues heures de travail, les conditions précaires dans lesquelles évoluent les travailleurs et le manque de protection adéquate au cours des premiers mois de la pandémie. Toutes causes qui exposent les travailleurs au coronavirus.
Pour la structure, la direction des centres d’appels a consciemment ignoré la possibilité du télétravail, prétextant avoir besoin de travailleurs sur place pour répondre aux demandes des clients du géant de la technologie. «Les centres d’appels en Tunisie et au Maroc ont continué de fournir des services essentiels tout au long de la pandémie de COVID-19, alors que les risques existants liés aux difficultés économiques et aux tensions psychologiques se sont aggravés et que de nouveaux risques pour la santé ont laissé plus de 100 000 travailleurs encore plus exposés», indique le communiqué de la fédération. S’y ajoute le manque de représentation au sein de ces sociétés.
En Tunisie et au Maroc, seules les grandes entreprises étrangères de centres d’appel disposent généralement d’une représentation syndicale et d’assemblées actives de travailleurs et d’employeurs. Selon Ayoub Douad, Secrétaire Général de la Fédération Nationale des Employés et Cadres des Centres d’Appels et des Entreprises de Délocalisation, plus de 80 % du secteur au Maroc n’est affilié à aucun syndicat. Cette absence de représentation est préoccupante, car elle empêche les travailleurs de faire entendre leur voix, de négocier de meilleures conditions de travail et de déposer des plaintes en cas d’abus. Parallèlement, les entreprises de centres d’appels ont déclaré avoir pris des mesures importantes pour empêcher la propagation du COVID-19.
